As a way to get away from using screen time as a "crutch", parents are getting drawn to podcasts and smart speakers. Audio-based options are ranging from educational to rock. Startup Wondery features the free "Stories Podcast", a retelling of many classic tales including Snow White and the Pied Piper, as well as other original stories for kids.

NPR hosts "Wow in the World", which is full of fun scientific mysteries.

Other podcasts include "Dream Big" and "Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child".
